Conveyancers prove their worth with Clean Sweep at Industry Awards

Members of the Conveyancing Association (CA) have bagged a collection of industry awards proving they really are the best in the business, setting high quality of standards and excellent customer service.

At the Estate Agency Awards held earlier this month, five CA members picked up eight awards, including:

  • Large Conveyancer of the Year – Ashfords LLP
  • Large Conveyancer of the Year, silver – Shulmans

  • Small Conveyancer of the Year, silver – Advantage Property Lawyers
  • Small Conveyancer of the Year, bronze – Cunningtons

In addition, Goldsmith Williams was awarded the Best Conveyancer prize at the British Mortgage Awards, Optima Legal was awarded the Best Law Firm accolade at the Mortgage Finance Gazette Awards and Fidler & Pepper were given the LawNet’s award for best practise, management, client service and innovation.

Eddie Goldsmith, Chairman of CA said:
“I am incredibly proud of all these firms – as the Conveyancing Association, we’ve come together as our members are serious conveyancers who are dedicated to raising standards and improving the quality of service for their customers and these awards are a great recognition of that work.”

Judith Park, Head of Residential Property at Ashfords LLP, said:
“We’re absolutely thrilled and delighted by the award and it’s a great recognition for the team for what they’re achieving in extremely difficult circumstances. It’s clear to see that firms across the country are finding it difficult to run a conveyancing practice in the current climate however working with the Conveyancing Association, we will continue to liaise with stakeholders and lenders in any way we can to ensure we deliver a high quality service and raise standards in residential conveyancing.”

The CA was established in 2010 to provide conveyancers with a voice to ensure they remain at the centre of the home buying process, whilst at the same time giving the consumer an improved experience when they buy or sell a property. Many of the largest and most successful conveyancing operations are already on board and are represented in industry focused groups. Membership is varied in that there are international, national, regional and local firms spread across every region in the UK, including Optima Legal, My Home Move, Goldsmith Williams, Shoosmiths and Eversheds LLP amongst others.

Notes to Editors

The CA was founded in autumn 2010. It is the only trade body in the residential property sector which specifically represents the interests of both licensed conveyancers and solicitors firms in the UK who fall into the category of ‘Serious Conveyancers’.

Since the launch, the CA has developed a significant presence in the sector and has expanded its membership of like-minded firms. It’s members carry out over two thirds (67%) of all UK mortgaging work and almost 15% of all UK property transactions.

The CA is a not-for-profit membership association of licensed conveyancers and solicitors firms whose objectives are to improve the experience for the home moving public, to encourage greater collaborative working as it leads to greater profit and efficiency, to take a fresh and innovative approach to that process, and to raise standards and co-operation with all others involved in pursuit of those objectives.
